DJR-Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

Season 1- Episode 25- "Ground Control to Major Tom..." Hello everyone, I am pleased to bring you the final movie we have reviewed for the season, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. We had a great time talking about this movie.
We discussed the connections of The 5th Element and Valerian because of the director. We all enjoyed the opening scene and how funny it was. We shared our thoughts on the main actor and if he was believable. We talked about Rihanna and if she is a good actress. Jake, brought up the idea that this movie is in the universe of Avatar. Do you get the vibe this movie is in the same universe? Ryan and Jake thought it would be a good idea to connect Valerian and the Fifth Element with a third movie and make it a trilogy like M. Night did with Unbreakable, Split and Glass, what do you guys think? Would you be more interested in watching this movie or the sins of this movie are too great to overcome?

DJR-I am Number 4

Season 1- Episode 24. Hello Everyone welcome to this weeks podcast! We discussed the movie I am Number Four. This movie came out in 2011. Starring Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer and Dianna Agron. "Aliens and their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters. They can only be killed in numerical order, and Number Four is next on the list. This is his story."
Jacob, Ryan and Dave discuss the Movie at length of why it failed to be made in to a franchise. We discussed the book series that this movie was based on. We talked about the order of the Aliens getting killed. Ryan talked about the Number 2 for a little bit and it was pretty funny. Jake discussed how he compared this movie to other book to movie franchise, like Twilight, Harry Potter, Maze Runner and Eargon. This movie was fun to talk about and fun to figure out why it didn't work.

DJR-Speed Racer

Season 1- Episode 231- "Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer..." Welcome to our episode of 2008's Speed Racer starring Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman, Susan Sarandon and Matthew Fox. So come and find out if the guys had high expectations for this movie.
Did Speed Racer, when dealing with multiple villains, do too much or did they do the multiple villains right? Come and find out who Ryan and Dave's young crush was? DJR, discussed if this movie took itself too serious? We discussed why they didn't make a sequel to this film, was it because of the script, the cast, the action sequences, the story, was it the competition or the placement of the movie? We shared our thoughts on if the actors seemed to be having fun as they were portraying these characters. We talked about if this movie was more faithful to source material than Green Lantern and the Last Airbender. Did this movie have more substance over spectacle? Season 1- Episode 22- "Welcome to the Big leagues kid, as Ryan Reynolds just finished reading the Green Lantern Script...." As you can tell this weeks episode is Ryan Reynolds The Green Lantern. Jacob, Ryan and Dave talk about what went wrong with this movie. They discussed the Animated green costume, the guys talked how Warner Bros may or may not have the right guys to pull off the building a Cinematic Universe.
Did this movie do too much? Did they make the classic mistake of having too many Super villains? Did they seem to be running around with their heads cut off? Did Jake go full nerd and discuss when and how they should have set the Green Lantern Franchise up? Did they choose the right actors and actresses for this movie? DJR-The Mummy 2017 Pt. 1

Season 1- Episode 20-pt.1- An explanation for this weeks podcast. We have to break this episode up into two parts because we are unable to publish it all in one sitting. We will be publishing the rest of this in two days. We are so sorry for this inconvenience.  
In this podcast we go over if Tom Cruise was the right man for the job to start this franchise/ Monster Universe. We then also discussed possible replacements to Tom Cruise. We talked about the age gap of Tom and his leading lady. David, brings up his theory that superhero movies are tailing off and the guys talk a little bit about that but do they agree or do they dismiss his idea? We discussed the Dark Universe Logo. We also discussed the idea of how Hotel Transylvania has a better universe then the Universal Studios has right now. The question of them making this movie more scary was brought up and how it would have helped this movie be more appealing, not modern scary but a good classic scary movie. One, of the reasons these characters were so successful in the past was they were scary but not the shock value scary the modern horror film is today. DJR-The Legend of Tarzan

Season 1- Episode 19- "Your Tarzan, She is Jane and you're supposed to save her."....Hello everyone, we are here with another episode of Failed Movie Franchises! This weeks episode is The Legend of Tarzan, Jacob, Ryan and David talk about this movie and why it didn't work. We also tired to figure out where the movie picked up at. David, thought it came from the Disney Tarzan movie. It to him, from where the movie started, picked up from the end of the Disney Tarzan. We discuss Margot Robbie and her accent choice. We debated how Tarzan mimics human voice but also how he can talk with the animals and get help from them. We discussed Samuel L. Jacksons wig in this movie and how they got it right, well a way better looking wig then the one in Captain Marvel. We talked about how great Christoph Waltz and what a great villain he is in his movies. We brought up Ryan's dislike of movies where everything that xan happen, happens. "You hear in the distance a Tarzan yell."
