Season 1- Episode 11: "Who you going to call..." Another week brings another episode. This weeks episode is the 2016 Ghostbusters starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. This alternative universe Ghostbusters took place in New York, you get to see all the original cast in one way or another. The only one that you don't see is Rick Moranis, who turned down the a cameo for this movie, which Ryan, Jake or Dave was disappointed he wasn't in it, which one of us was disappointed? We talked about a lot of things in this podcast. We talked about the movie, we discussed what we thought was funny and the backlash of trying to reboot the Ghostbusters Franchise. The Vince Vaughnn affect was introduced by Ryan. We talked about the SNL members in the movie and the First Ghostbusters cast SNL members. Jake and Ryan tried to convince Dave into their way of thinking, Dave was not having that. He was a stick in the mud. Season 1-Episode 10: "Come one, Come all and see the Great and Powerful..." Hello everyone, we are pleased to invite you to come and join us on this awesome adventure through the Land of Oz. Come and hear us express if we thought the movie was a companion to the Wizard of Oz film or the companion to Wicked the play. Hear us talk about James Franco, his portrayal of Oz the Great and Powerful, the sleight of hand trickery he does to the ladies in the movie and to the audience. We talk about the whole cast and how well they fit into their roles. We discussed why this didn't work as a franchise starter. Jacob gives ideas of what he would had done for the next two movies and Ryan chimes in with some ideas for a mockumentary of the lands in the Land of Oz. These two came up with some pretty good ideas. So, come and join us as we talk about your favorite wizard since Harry Potter, Gandalf or Dumbledore or if He must not be named, Sauraon, Or the White Wizard, or Severus Snape! Season 1- Episode 9- "By the Power of Gray Skull." Ryan, Jake and I broke down He-Man the Movie. It was so fun talking about this movie. We presented the numbers and the competition that came out around the same time. We discussed why the Cartoon was made and the type animation they used when it was produced. We discussed how a lot of Sci-fi movies piggybacked off Star Wars. We talked about the expectations we went into watching He-Man and if the movie met or exceeded those. We discussed the nostalgia for the cartoon and if the movie ruined the nostalgia or help it. We brought up Dolph Lundgren and how perfect he was to play He-Man, then we discussed an alternative cast for this 1987 movie, then we let all hilarity ensue when talking about this wonderful alternative cast. Come Join Jacob, Ryan and David as they talk about what they liked about the Prince of Persia movie. How Ryan enjoys the Bubble-boy aka Jake Gyllenhaal in his leading role of The Prince. Listen to Jacob talk about how and why he thinks this is the best video game to movie adaption. We talk about the apex of Parkour and how it played in the movie. We discuss the casting of Alfred Molina, Sir Ben Kingsley and many others and how well they played their role in this movie. We wonder why this didn't make enough money for Disney to make another movie. We talk about the competition and how it played a role into the whole success of Prince of Persia. "I will never salute you Launchie!!!" As a Battle school commander announced to Ender Wiggin. Come and Join David, Jacob and Ryan as we discuss the great movie of Ender's Game!! We jump from topic to topic about the movie. We discuss the book and if the movie is a good adaptation to the book. Ryan and Jacob discuss Harry Potter and they made a little bit of an enemy out of Dave. We discuss the famous quote in Ender's Game, "I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves. And then, in that very moment when I love them...I destroy them." Ryan and Jacob really helped try and explain this quote to Dave he just didn't get it. We moved on and talked about the actors and if they were believable. Jacob talks about how in every Harrison Ford film he points and we discuss that. We discuss Viola Davis and her wonderful acting and Sir Ben Kingsley. We talked about a lot of things and it was fun talking and just letting the conversation naturally happen over Ender's Game!
