DJR-The Mummy 2017 Pt. 1

Season 1- Episode 20-pt.1- An explanation for this weeks podcast. We have to break this episode up into two parts because we are unable to publish it all in one sitting. We will be publishing the rest of this in two days. We are so sorry for this inconvenience.  

In this podcast we go over if Tom Cruise was the right man for the job to start this franchise/ Monster Universe. We then also discussed possible replacements to Tom Cruise. We talked about the age gap of Tom and his leading lady. David, brings up his theory that superhero movies are tailing off and the guys talk a little bit about that but do they agree or do they dismiss his idea? We discussed the Dark Universe Logo. We also discussed the idea of how Hotel Transylvania has a better universe then the Universal Studios has right now. The question of them making this movie more scary was brought up and how it would have helped this movie be more appealing, not modern scary but a good classic scary movie. One, of the reasons these characters were so successful in the past was they were scary but not the shock value scary the modern horror film is today. DJR-The Legend of Tarzan

Season 1- Episode 19- "Your Tarzan, She is Jane and you're supposed to save her."....Hello everyone, we are here with another episode of Failed Movie Franchises! This weeks episode is The Legend of Tarzan, Jacob, Ryan and David talk about this movie and why it didn't work. We also tired to figure out where the movie picked up at. David, thought it came from the Disney Tarzan movie. It to him, from where the movie started, picked up from the end of the Disney Tarzan. We discuss Margot Robbie and her accent choice. We debated how Tarzan mimics human voice but also how he can talk with the animals and get help from them. We discussed Samuel L. Jacksons wig in this movie and how they got it right, well a way better looking wig then the one in Captain Marvel. We talked about how great Christoph Waltz and what a great villain he is in his movies. We brought up Ryan's dislike of movies where everything that xan happen, happens. "You hear in the distance a Tarzan yell."

Season 1-Episode 18- "Look water is leaking from her eyes"...Hello Everyone, thank you so much for listening and following us on Twitter, Facebook, Linkin and Instagram. We are so very grateful for those follows and those likes of the photos and support! The success we have had is in large part of your willingness to give a chance in listening or watching. Another big part of our success is Jake and Ryans willingness to help me make the podcast and their willingness to put in the time to watch the movies and break down the failed Franchise starters. 

These boys didn't disappoint with Flash Gordon. We discussed what worked and what didn't work. We talked about how that all of the main actors seemed to be having fun, but Timothy Dalton seemed to be taking the movie super serious. We also talked about much money this film made and when it was released. The topic of this being a very hard movie to take serious because of the silliness. With Queen making the soundtrack and using some of their popularity to draw people to the movie. We shared some insight to why this movie didn't make it. We quoted this movie and which quotes we liked. Jake, Ryan and David debated the believability of The New York Jets QB driving a station wagon and where was the plane traveling to? DJR- Avengers: End Game

Season 1- Bonus Episode- I know that our season of Failed Movie Franchises. Before we started recording Jake, Ryan and I talk about life and things that are going on in it. Th3 Sunday before we recorded I asked if they had seen Endgame and Ryan was the only one of us to have seen it opening weekend. So Jake and I watched Endgame before we recorded and I asked if these two would be willing to talk about the movie and they were willing to talk about it. So, we talked abut Endgame and there are massive spoilers in this podcast. So, if you have not seen this movie, see it before you listen, you were warned. Also, there is spoilers in this description so Stop reading if you want nothing spoiled. If you are okay then move forward. 

So, Jake, Ryan and I talked about what sins we thought there were. I didn't have any I talked about what I liked about the movie. We talked about the beginning of the movie. Ryan and Jake discussed what they where sins of the movie. Jake and I disagreed with Captain America destroying the timeline. Who do you think is right in this argument. I didn't back down a little at the end but as I edited this podcast I am actually going to stand by my original claim. Come and find out what we think of this movie! DJR-Fantastic 4

Season 1- Episode 17- "Its Clobbering Time...." Says Ben Grimm. Welcome to Crackers N' Milk. We are pleased to give you the Fantastic 4 (2015). This is one of the times where Jake, Ryan and David just geek out about comic books and the story lines and what was wrong with the movie franchise. One of the questions that was brought up was if the Fantastic 4 can ever be a viable superhero franchise or because they have failed so much people will not be able ever trust the franchise because there is so much baggage to it. We talked about how Dr. Doom is the greatest Marvel villain but Fox was never been able to get him right!! We discuss how Disney can bring in the Fantastic 4 into the Marvel Universe. This episode was so fun to make and talk about how they could have chosen a better cast. We talked about the whole Storm Family dynamic. We discussed being true to the comics or changing them and what we prefer. David pointed out the interesting similarities of Chris Evans and Micheal B Jordan playing Johnny Storm. DJR-Golden Compass

Season 1- Episode 16. "You don't know how to read the Golden Compass." When watching this movie sometimes you don't know how to read the movie. Like always we discussed why this movie didn't the following to have it work. We talked about the controversy with the supposed slight it gave to religion. Do you think this movie painted religion in a bad light?

Daniel Craig is a wonderful lead but why is he not in the movie very much? Did they make the mistake of not explaining his role or giving him more screen time? Did they make the same mistake as Sky Captain did with Angelina Jolie? We talked about the Polar Bear fight and how we felt they needed to have a Coca-cola in order to enjoy the fight. We talked about Sam Elliot and what a great job he did as a Texas Airman. We tried to come up with who stole the movie or who did the best job in the movie. We discussed the great voice actors that played Daemons in the movie. It was so fun talking about this movie. Jake, Ryan and Dave did such a great job like always.

Then we tried to get to the bottom of Ryan's interesting take on Nicolas Cage. We then discussed what really worked in this movie. We analyzed the after credit scene and how it was a set up for a second movie. The different types of Wizards. We talked about how if this movie could have been a TV series. In this episode we discuss Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. We discussed the competition and we did a year in review of the 2004 and how those movies took away from Sky Captain. We talked how this movie had great potential but was so jumbled by the director that the sins of the movie were too much to overcome. We pointed out the mis-leading synopsis about the movie. We talked about how you can see bad graphics and how the actors didn't do a great job with the green screen. We discussed how the biggest actor in the movie was only in it for about 10 minutes. We decided the funniest part of the movie and how it worked. We shared our opinion if we would recommend this movie for your personal library. So, come and give the podcast a listen. DJR- Power Rangers 2017

Season 1- Episode 12- "Alpha 5, we need 5 spunky teenagers to become the Power Rangers..." Thank you so much for joining us for our 12th Episode, we are talking about the 2017 Power Ranger movie. We had a lot of fun talking about this movie. We talked about why this movie didn't succeed as much as it could have. We discussed the notable movies of 2017 and how that played a role in taking away a portion of the audience from the Power Rangers. We also discussed if they made this a campy, silly movie if it would have done better. We took little trips done memory lane as we discussed our interactions with our siblings growing up while discussing the TV show.
